Participation Guidelines
Theme
“Your Sky”
Draw your sky freely. It may be the sky you see today, a sky from your memories, an imagined sky, or the sky within your heart.
Who Can Participate?
Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, nationality, or artistic experience.
We also welcome participation from hospitals, schools, welfare facilities, community organizations, and other groups.
Art materials
Feel free to use pens, watercolors, colored pencils, acrylics, crayons, and other dry media.
However, to protect the artwork and prevent damage during shipping, please make sure that all artwork is completely dry and that the materials used do not transfer or smudge.
Size and format
For participants in Japan,
please create your work directly on a standard postcard issued by Japan Post.
In this project, we consider the movement of a single piece of “sky” as a letter, traveling from person to person and from place to place, to be part of the artwork itself.
For this reason, we value not simply the specified dimensions, but the postcard as a medium in its own right.
For participants outside Japan,
taking into consideration differences in postal standards between countries, works may be created on paper with dimensions close to the standard Japanese postcard size.

Information to Include
Please write the following information on the back of your postcard, or in the designated area:
Your Region or Place of Origin
For example: Toyama, Kamiichi, Seoul, Taipei, etc.
Your Nickname or Initials
For privacy reasons, you do not need to provide your full name or detailed address.
We collect the skies while preserving a trace of the places they come from, while allowing each participant to remain anonymous.
Number of Entries
There is no limit to the number of works you may submit.
You are welcome to create and submit as many postcards as you like.
In this project, we also value the process of continuing to draw the “sky” as it changes with time, emotions, and the seasons, rather than creating just one work.
We hope that wondering, “What kind of sky shall I draw next?” and continuing to take part in the project will become part of the joy of Sora no Tayori.
Important Notes & Guidelines
This project is based on the concept of connecting “Sora” (空 / Kū) to create one continuous, unified space.
To preserve the continuity of the collective sky, please do not include landscape elements or objects within your sky.

And other similar objects or landscape elements
Permitted Elements
On the other hand, expressions that do not disrupt the sense of openness and continuity of the sky are permitted,
including:
Clouds
Light
Stars
Birds in the sky
Rainbow
Rain

As the collected skies will be reconfigured into one continuous space, works containing the landscape elements listed above may be excluded from the exhibition in order to maintain the overall composition.

Submitted works will not be returned.

Submitted works may be used for exhibition, documentation, social media, promotional materials, and other project-related purposes.

Content that violates public order or standards of decency cannot be accepted.

For participants who are minors, permission from a parent or guardian, or from the relevant facility administrator when applicable, may be required.
